SBI bank statement password: every format explained
SBI's emailed statement opens with your mobile's last five digits plus your birth date as DDMMYY. SMS, YONO and SBI Card statements use other formats.

The monthly account statement SBI emails you opens with the last five digits of your registered mobile number followed by your date of birth as DDMMYY. With mobile 98765 43210 and a birth date of 5 March 1990, the password is 43210050390 (ClearTax).
SBI sends statements through several channels, and they don't all use the same password. Find yours below.

Only the SMS row comes from SBI itself. The others are widely reported by guides, and some sources disagree, especially for SBI Card statements. The email that carried your statement is the final word.
Getting the email e-statement right
- Take your mobile number as registered with SBI: 98765 43210. Use the last five digits:
43210. - Write your date of birth as day, month and two-digit year: 5 March 1990 becomes
050390. - Join them with nothing in between:
43210050390.
Common mistakes: using a mobile number that isn't the one registered with SBI, writing the year in four digits (05031990), or putting the month first.
Make an unlocked copy
Loan apps, accountants and the income tax portal often need a statement without a password. Once you know it:
- Open Remove Password and choose the statement.
- Type the password once.
- Download the unlocked copy. The statement stays on your device the whole time.
