Axis Bank statement password: account and credit card
Axis Bank e-statements open with the first four letters of your name in capitals plus four digits of your birth date, like RAHU0503, or your 9-digit customer ID.

An Axis Bank e-statement opens with the first four letters of your name in capitals followed by four digits of your date of birth: RAHUL KUMAR, born 5 March, types RAHU0503. If that fails, Axis Bank gives an alternative: the same four letters followed by your nine-digit customer ID, such as RAHU123456789.
All examples use one made-up customer: RAHUL KUMAR, born 05-03-1990, customer ID 123456789.
The password Axis Bank publishes
Axis Bank's support page "How do I open an estatement" gives two passwords (Axis Bank).
First try: name and date of birth.
| What you need | Example |
|---|---|
| 4 letters of your name (the first four), in capitals, as on your statement | RAHU |
| Then 4 digits of your date of birth (day and month) | 0503 |
| Password | RAHU0503 |
Alternative: name and customer ID.
| What you need | Example |
|---|---|
| The same 4 letters of your name, in capitals | RAHU |
| Then your 9-digit customer ID | 123456789 |
| Password | RAHU123456789 |
One gap: Axis Bank's page says "four letters of your name" and "four digits of your date of birth" but doesn't say which four. Guides such as ClearTax give the first four letters and the day and month, DDMM, which is what the examples here use. If RAHU0503 fails, the customer ID password is the one Axis Bank states in full, so try that next.
Rules from Axis Bank's page
- Capitals. The page says UPPER CASE.
rahu0503fails; typeRAHU0503. - Ignore spaces and dots. The letters run on past initials and spaces. R. K. SHARMA gives
RKSH, and a short first name such as RAJ KUMAR givesRAJK. - The name on your statement. Use the name exactly as the bank prints it, not a nickname or the spelling you usually write.
Account or credit card statement?
Axis Bank files this answer among its credit card statement questions, yet the wording refers to the name "as it appears on your Account Statement". Axis Bank doesn't publish separate formats for the two, and ClearTax reports the same name and date of birth format, with the customer ID alternative, for both. So for either kind of statement, start with the name and date of birth, then try the customer ID.
Find your customer ID
Axis Bank says your customer ID is a 9-digit number printed on the welcome letter and the cheque book it sends after you open the account (Axis Bank). You can also get it by SMS from your registered mobile: send CUSTID followed by your 15-digit account number to +919951860002 or 56161600 (Axis Bank).
If it still won't open
- Capitals, not small letters.
RAHU0503, notrahu0503. - Day before month. ClearTax reports DDMM, so born on 5 March:
0503, not0305. - Spaces and dots dropped. Count the four letters only after removing them.
- Customer ID instead. Try the four letters with your 9-digit customer ID.
- Get the statement again. Axis Bank lets you download a statement from Internet Banking (Accounts, then View detailed statement) or the Axis Mobile app, or have it emailed to your registered email address (Axis Bank).
Make an unlocked copy
Loan apps, the income tax portal and accountants often need the statement without a password. Once it opens:
- Open Remove Password and choose the statement.
- Type the password once.
- Download the unlocked copy. The statement is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
To get the transactions into a spreadsheet, run the unlocked copy through PDF to Excel. Other banks are covered in bank statement PDF passwords, with more detail for SBI and HDFC Bank.
